Sabanci Foundation supports various festivals and contests to promote culture and art in our country and to maintain traditional values. These are:

Tiyatro Festivali

Since 1998, "International Sabanci Adana Theater Festival", entertains almost 20.000 devotees of drama with the cooperation of Sabanci Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Turkish State Theaters.

 

Mehtap Ar

Mehtap Ar Children Theatrical Company

Sabanci Foundation supports ‘ART’ Theater with the aim to make the art of drama widely accessible, to reach children in under-privileged areas of Istanbul as well as an audience in Anatolia.

 

Folk Dances

Turkish Folk Dances Contest

Sabanci Foundation supports Turkish Folk Dances Contest since 1994 in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Traditionally organized every May, Turkish Folk Dances Contest offer awards for top ten ranking teams.

 

The National Youth Symphony Orchestra (NYSO)

The National Youth Symphony Orchestra

The National Youth Symphony Orchestra (NYSO) which was established by Cem Mansur in 2007; consists of young members selected among artist candidates from the age group of  fourteen to twenty one, from conservatories domiciled in Bursa, Izmir, Istanbul, Ankara, Eskisehir, Edirne, Adana, Mersin and Antalya. 2009 events are sponsored by Sabanci Foundation and Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency.

 

Ankara Music Festival

Ankara International Music Festival

Sabanci Foundation has started to support International Ankara Music Festival as a honorary member since 2008 to expand its support for art.

      

    

Metropolis

Metropolis Diggings - MESEDER

Sabanci Foundation supports Metropolis Diggings undertaken by the Society of Metropolis Fans. The digging works for Metropolis antique city, which have been going on since 1990, have been managing by the archeologists team led by Assist. Assoc Prof. Serdar Aybek, a lecturer in Trakya University Archeology Department.
